Handmade With a Love for Crochet That Began Years Ago

Welcome to Carol’s Custom Crochet, where every piece is personally handmade with care, attention to detail, and a genuine love for the craft.

My love for crochet began when I was a teenager. I always admired the beautiful things my grandmother made, including colorful blankets, slippers, pillow covers, hot pads, and other handmade items. I loved seeing how a simple skein of yarn could become something beautiful, useful, and made to last.

When I was 17, my mom said, “Let’s learn how to crochet!” I thought it was a wonderful idea, so we enrolled in a six-week community education class at our local high school. There, we learned the basic stitches and techniques that got us started.

Not long afterward, I completed my very first blanket. I was so proud of how it turned out, and I still have it today. That first blanket was the beginning of a love for crochet that has stayed with me ever since.

From My Hands to Your Home

Today, I’m a grandmother myself, and I still enjoy crochet as much as I did all those years ago.

Every item offered at Carol’s Custom Crochet is personally crocheted by me. I take my time with each piece because I want it to be something I would be proud to use in my own home or give to someone I love.

To me, handmade crochet is special. It isn’t something that comes off an assembly line. Each piece is created one stitch at a time, with care given to the yarn, colors, pattern, and finishing touches.

My goal is simple: to create beautiful, well-made crochet that you can enjoy, use, give as a gift, and hopefully treasure for years to come.

A Small Family Business in Central Texas

My wonderfully supportive husband, Glenn, is the webmaster and creator of this website. Together, we live on a small farm in rural Central Texas with a few cows, a flock of chickens, two cats, Blue, our watchdog, and our precious little dog, Peaches.

We enjoy the simple country life, and Carol’s Custom Crochet reflects many of the things that are important to us—quality, usefulness, creativity, and taking the time to do something right.

We may be a small family business, but we believe that is part of what makes us special. When you order from Carol’s Custom Crochet, you aren’t ordering from a large company. You’re ordering something that I will personally make for you.
